Bibury is a charming, typically Cotswold, village just a short drive from “The Capital of the Cotswolds”, Cirencester. Bibury was once described by William Morris (1834-96) as “the most beautiful village in England”. In fact, Fox News says that Bibury is one of the world’s most picturesque villages.
Burford a beautiful old Cotswold town, its High Street sloping from the high Wolds, where you have beautiful views over the open countryside, down to the willow fringed River Windrush in the pretty Windrush valley. A fine three arched medieval bridge crosses the river at the foot of the hill.

Newbury & Horse Drawn Boat: Newbury is a small town nestled in the heart of West Berkshire. While it may be small, it certainly has a lot going on! From our mix of independent and known high street stores to the very best eateries and exciting night life, there’s something for everyone.

In today’s hectic environment there is little time to appreciate the beauty of the countryside and the slower pace of yesteryear. The Kennet Horse Boat Company’s horsedrawn canal cruises offer an opportunity to do just that. Environmentally friendly and quite unique with very few left in the UK, this traditionally painted canal boat is keeping some of our nineteenth-century English heritage alive.
Set in Berkshire’s beautiful countryside on the Kennet & Avon Canal, the Horse Drawn Barge is based in the pretty village of Kintbury near Hungerford. The horses, heavy crossed-shires, Freddie and Monty are bedecked in traditional harness. The boat is purpose built to the traditional style of canal boats in the 1800’s and decorated in the bright colours of the ‘roses and castles’ canal style.
