Horse Drawn Boat Trip in Tiverton: in the lovely town of Tiverton,”Twyfordton” – the town by the two fords. A handsome stone bridge leads to the large suburb of West Exe. Tiverton has existed from the Saxon times through many vicissitudes, and is now a well-built and flourishing town.
The “Tivertonian” a beautiful wide beam, 75-seater horse-drawn Barge takes you on a popular trip which is a 2½ hr return where the barge travels for one hour to East Manley, turns around and then moors up, allowing you the opportunity to take a short walk to see the aqueduct (designed by Brunel’s team of railway engineers), or talk to the horse as he rests for a while under the shade of a tree.
During your special journey, you will hear memorable tales, anecdotes and historical facts about the horse-drawn barge and the Grand Western Canal. There is often two minutes silence, where the peace and tranquility of travelling by horse-drawn barge can be fully appreciated.

Optional
Clovelly & Bude:
Clovelly is a small village in the Torridge district of Devon, England. Clovelly is one of the best known and most unusual villages in the North Devon. The cobbled high street winds its way down the hillside through traditional 16th century whitewashed cottages decked with fuchsias and geraniums. This street drops 400ft in the half mile down to the small harbour. Centre as traffic is banned from the high street. There is a Land Rover service which ferries visitors up and down via a back road (extra cost), for those not wishing to negotiate the steep hill on foot. At one time, donkeys used to be used to take visiting tourists down into the village, but these have now been retired.

Bude: has twice been voted for the Best UK Coastal Resort in the British Travel Awards. Famous for its pastel painted beach huts, & wide sandy beaches
