Merry Harriers is a family run business established in 2000. When we first started the site consisted of only two small polytunnels & a potting shed as a tearoom. The polytunnels now cover over 14000 sqft and this is where we grow the majority of our bedding plants and perennials. Our shop has gone through many changes but we still pride ourselves on being a local family run independent garden centre supporting the local area. The name “Merry Harriers” derives from an Old Coaching Inn situated next door to the nursery which is now three privately owned cottages, but was once a thriving Inn where the hunt met on foot. Our nursery is a hive of activity with something different happening, whether it is potting up plants dividing perennials or just good old traditional hands on in the garden. The nursery has a good selection of shrubs, trees, rose bushes, grasses, herbs, baskets, containers and a wide selection of unusual pots and lots more with all our perennials and bedding plants being grown on site and lots more in our 14000sqft growing tunnel. Our Cheerful and friendly staff are always on hand to help. Merry Harriers Nursery lies in a hollow amidst the beautiful North Devon Countryside, a little bit of heaven tucked away from the hustle and bustle. The Mad Hatter’s restaurant is set in a tranquil location beside a lake and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The restaurant has unique atmosphere and displays local memorabilia and artefacts from the Braund Family.

 Ilfracombe  this beautiful harbour town is steeped in maritime history, and remains one of the key working fishing ports in North Devon, reflected in the high quality local menus.
