Seahouses lies approx 15 miles North of Alnwick Castle and is the gateway to the Farne Islands. Seahouses is a well known holiday town and fishing village.
The Holy Island is connected to the mainland by a causeway which floods twice a day. It is a centre of pilgrimage with its tranquillity, spirituality and scenic beauty attracting a multitude of visitors. Lindisfarne Castle dominates the skyline of the Island and is one of the main attractions of Northumberland and can be see for miles around. Pilgrims Crossing can also be spotted at low tide with the tall wooden poles protruding from the muddy flats.

Durham (included) is well known for its Norman cathedral and 11th-century castle, both designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. The castle has been the home of Durham University since 1832.

Alnwick town itself is full of character with cobbled streets cafes restaurants delis etc in a stunning location with the town dating back to 600AD.
Alnwick Castle is one of the most stunning Castles in the UK the second largest inhabited castle in the UK with a residence for the Duke of Northumberland. Fantastic and interesting gardens with many surprises.
